Offshoring has a reputation. Long handover cycles, a mismatch in quality, and engineers who are technically available but culturally distant from how your team actually works. For many companies, the savings on paper don’t survive contact with reality.

Novon Digital took a different route. And four years later, it looks like the right one.

A different kind of tech hiring partner

Novon Digital specialises in Azure, AI, and digital transformation. Their engineers don't work in the background: they communicate directly with clients, operate independently in a remote-first environment, and need to integrate naturally into a Dutch professional culture. That's a high bar. And it's exactly why the standard offshoring model felt like a risk.

Nearshoring was on Novon's radar. Central and Eastern Europe has genuine technical depth in Azure and cloud-focused engineering – not cheap labour doing repetitive tasks, but senior engineers who can hold their own in complex, client-facing environments. The question was whether a partner existed who could source those profiles reliably and support them properly after placement.

Peoply answered that question.

What trust looks like in practice

From the first conversations between Novon and Peoply, the approach felt different: transparent, technically grounded, and oriented towards a long-term partnership rather than a quick fill.

Our strong ties to the Dutch market and deep knowledge of the Central European talent network made the difference. We understood what Novon needed culturally, not just technically, and built that understanding into every step of sourcing and screening.

After the first successful placements, trust built quickly. With that, the scope of the collaboration grew: from an initial 1-5 engineers to 30+ placed over four years, with a 93% success rate. The projects that had been blocked by capacity constraints were able to move forward.

We stayed on as an operational partner: handling contracts, invoicing, HR, local employment coordination, and organizing team-building activities that bring nearshore and local colleagues together. The result is a distributed team that works and feels as one.

"Peoply never felt like an external recruiter. They felt like an extension of our team: understanding not only the technical requirements, but also the people, culture, and dynamics behind them."
